The Magic of Christmas in Disneyland
Disneyland is magical any time of the year, but Christmas…. oh Christmas! Disneyland is pure magic at Christmas.
For my family the magic begins when we check into the Disneyland Hotel, walk into the main entrance and see a giant gingerbread house, maybe see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, or another Disney character walking around spreading the magic.
As you stroll through Downtown Disney, magic fills the air. From the decorations {Disney does a fantastic job at displaying specific decorations unique to each park: Downtown Disney, Disneyland and California Adventures}, to the carolers, people are smiling, children's eyes full of happiness, and shops are full of Christmas joy.
As you exit Downtown, the true magical experience begins. You walk through the gates of Disneyland, where you are welcomed with the smile of Mickey made out of flowers on the hillside. The iconic display that has been there since the day the park opened. The decorations will once again bring a smile to your heart, from the poinsettias to the HUGE decorated tree in Town Square. With a train whistle in the background signaling that it’s time to let the fun begin!
As your day turns to night, the magic continues to be in the air with snow falling. Yes, you read that correctly, "snow falling" does happen during the holiday season. You can stand on Main Street and enjoy the light snow fall. There is nothing more beautiful than stepping out on Main Street, looking towards the Castle, glistening in snow and twinkle lights, you can feel the magic in the air, see the sparkle in the eyes of the young and young at heart.. at that moment in time you can see Walt's dream, the dream that filled his heart with joy and happiness.. DISNEYLAND.
Disneyland at Christmas, I've seen it with the entire family, my grandkids and “The Golden Grammas,” I can tell you, whether it's a family trip, a grandparent and grandkids trip, or a trip for the girls (or guys) spending time in Disneyland during the Christmas Holiday will be something you remember for years to come.
I could talk for hours about Christmas in Disneyland, instead I hope you enjoy the photos I’ve included in this post. If you are feeling inspired to book a magical Christmas vacation to Disneyland, please reach out to me. I can help you no matter what your budget is.
Hope you can feel the Magic,
